In recent years preserving the environment the lakes in particular has become a top priority in Iran. The Environment Department has several long term plans in this regard. In some cases Japanese scientists have joined hands with the Environment Department to push those plans forward. This includes preserving lakes and water lands and promotions environment-friendly agriculture. In this feature we will take a closer look at these efforts in Anzali Lagoon. Our story ends with workshops that are held in Iran with the help of Japan to share these experiences with Afghanistan.
