Organ donation is when a person gives their organs after they die to someone in need. This can extend the life expectancy of someone suffering from organ failure. Unfortunately, currently the number of patients requiring organ transplants outweighs the number of donors. The main obstacle is usually family refusal. Iran however, has managed to increase its consent rates to records high setting an example for other countries. In this report we will take a quick look at how Iran is educating the public and promoting organ donation.
