First time in Iran at this scale, an extreme sport called skyrunning happens in Varangehrood which is a beautiful area on the slope of Azad mountain only 3 hours drive from Tehran towards north. Almost about 300 male and female athletes from all around Iran participate at a 30 kilometers race where you also ascend about 1500 meters. It is a day out in the nature with a lot of super energetic folks and lots of positive energy in the atmosphere.
