Tehran is the setting for another Anglo-American-Soviet Conference. Mr Churchill, President Roosevelt and Marshal Stalin met in the Persian capital to discuss strategies.
At the Soviet Embassy Mr Churchill presented the Sword of Stalingrad to Marshal Stalin, a tribute to the defenders of the heroic city.
During the Conference Mr Churchill celebrated his 69th birthday and was presented with gifts from the officers and men stationed at the Conference.
