Chaador-shab is actually a wrap yarn woven cloth that comes in many sizes. It’s one of Iran’s traditional handicraft. I later found out that the Chaador-shabs woven here, in the village of Qaasem-Aabaad, on these age-old weaving looms, have a great deal of artistic value all across Iran, because of their vibrant colours and uniquely beautiful designs.
Set against the lush green background of the trees, with the complements of the province of Gilaan, these eye-catching woollen cloths are even more striking.
