INGREDIENTS:

Flour – 2cups
Eggs – 2
Semolina – 1 Cup
Milk – ¼ Cup
Yeast – ½ Tbsp
Baking Powder – ½ Tsp
Oil – ¼ Cup
Sugar – ¼ Cup
Syrup Ingredients:
Sugar - 2 Cups
Water – 3 Cups
Lemon Juice – 1 Tbsp
Decoration:
Pistachios
Coconut Flakes

PREPARATION
1. In a bowl sift the flour, baking powder and semolina. Mix that with a spoon and create a crater shape in the middle to pour in the lukewarm milk and dry activated yeast. Cover the bowl and let this rest for 7 minutes to let the yeast activate.
2. Once the 7 minutes have gone by take-off the lid and sprinkle in the sugar, pour in the oil and whisk the eggs in. Knead this until you get a dough ball and let this rest for 30 minutes.
3. As the dough is resting you can start making the syrup. On high flame pour the water and sugar in and once that has started boiling place in the lemon and cover the pan. Bring the heat down to a medium flame and let that boil for 10 minutes.
4. Now that the dough is ready after the 30 minutes you can started rolling them in to golf call shapes and then design them as shown in the video. You can use anything you have at home to imprint a pattern and then roll it up.
5. Place the pan on a high flame and heat up the oil. When the oil is heated up turn down the flame very LOW! Fry the biscuits for 5-7 minutes and then take them out to put them in the syrup for 1 minutes to soak it up. Top it off with pistachios or coconut flakes.
