Another homage to the ‘Norooz khaani’ tradition of Northern Iran from Ajam. This year (2021) to mark the turn of the century in the Persian Solar Calendar, for the year 1400, Ajam have chosen a traditional theme from the Taleghan region in the south western foothills of the Alborz Mountain range. There has been a recent revival in the Noroozkhani tradition and this music video pokes fun at the difficulties of rekindling a traditional custom in a contemporary context. The music video has been filmed predominantly in the scenic town of ‘Shahmirzad’, in the province of Semnan, and the heights of ‘Golab Dareh’ to the north of Tehran.

نوروز سلطون - #نوروزخوانی #عجم برای سال ۱۴۰۰. تم اصلی کار برداشت آزاد از روایت و اجرای احمد خان بیگی از یک نمونه نوروزخوانی از ناحیه طالقان که در مجموعه ای با عنوان 'موسیقی جنوب البرز'، با گردآوری استاد جهانگیر نصری اشرفی ثبت و ضبط شده (۱۳۷۴، توسط انجمن موسیقی ایران). اکثر تصاویر این کلیپ در شهر زیبای شهمیرزاد، در استان سمنان، فیلمبرداری شده و برخی از برداشت ها در گلاب دره، تهران. تصاویر و فیلمبرداری مربوط به سال های ۱۳۹۶ و ۱۳۹۸، پیش از آغاز پاندمی ویروس کرونا میباشند.
