Shourabil Lake is a lake in Ardabil, which is located on Mohaghegh Ardabili University, University of Medical Sciences and Payame Noor University. This lake is one of the natural attractions of Ardabil. Geological studies show that this lake is older than Lake Urmia. Shourabil is the only natural inner city lake in Iran. The lake used to be very salty, but today, with the addition of fresh water, its salinity has been reduced so that a kind of salmon is grown in it and its area has increased to 180 hectares.

The lake has many recreational, sports and cultural facilities, including boating, track and field, cycling track, bird garden, a number of hotels (Kosar Tourist Complex and Shourabil Hotel), an outdoor amusement park and an indoor amusement park. , Rock Park, Bagh-e-Behesht Forest Park, hiking trail with artificial turf around the lake, cycling route, new entrances to the lake on the south and east side, as well as the placement of sea buses inside the lake.

دریاچه شورابیل دریاچه‌ای در شهر اردبیل است که در خیابان دانشگاه محقق اردبیلی، دانشگاه علوم پزشکی و دانشگاه پیام نور قرار دارد. این دریاچه یکی از جاذبه‌های طبیعی اردبیل می‌باشد. مطالعات زمین‌شناختی نشان می‌دهد که قدمت این دریاچه قدیمی‌تر از دریاچه ارومیه است. شورابیل تنها دریاچه طبیعی داخل شهری در ایران می‌باشد. این دریاچه در گذشته بسیار شور بوده‌است، ولی امروزه با افزودن آب شیرین به آن از شوری آن کاسته شده به‌طوری‌که نوعی ماهی قزل آلا در آن پرورش داده می‌شود و گستردگی آن به ۱۸۰ هکتار افزایش یافته‌ است.

این دریاچه دارای امکانات تفریحی، ورزشی و فرهنگی بسیاری است که از آن جمله می‌توان به امکانات قایق‌رانی، پیست دو و میدانی، پیست دوچرخه سواری، باغ پرندگان، تعدادی هتل (مجتمع توریستی کوثر و هتل شورابیل)، یک شهربازی روباز و یک شهربازی سرپوشیده، پارک صخره‌ای، پارک جنگلی باغ بهشت، رینگ پیاده‌روی با چمن مصنوعی دور دریاچه، مسیر دوچرخه سواری، مسیرهای ورودی جدیدی به داخل دریاچه در ضلع جنوبی و شرقی و همچنین قرار دادن اتوبوس دریایی داخل دریاچه می‌باشد.
