Akbar was convicted of murdering his girlfriend two years ago and has been serving time in a prison where he must wait to receive capital punishment at the age of 18. To help him, Akbar's sister Firoozeh and his friend A'ala decide to go to the father of the murdered girl. Firoozeh and A'ala are trying desperately to change the death penalty to life imprisonment. When the father learns their decision, he decides to ask the court to speed up the process to Akbar's execution.. Meanwhile, a romantic relationship is formed between A'ala and Firoozeh who has recently got divorced from his addict husband. Abolqasem's daughter is handicapped and in desperate need for treatment. Abolqasem's wife asks her husband earnestly and repeatedly to forgive Akbar . Abolqasem is so opposed to the change of sentence that he decides to sell his house for the blood money.
