What's the difference between carbohydrates, proteins, and fats? In the end, they all convert to glucose or get stored as fat, so what's the difference?

The difference lies in blood glucose spikes.

When you consume carbohydrates (starches and sugars), your blood sugar goes up, followed by an increase in insulin.
But when you eat fats and proteins, your blood sugar doesn't rise!

Why?

Because fats and proteins are converted into amino acids and fatty acids in the digestive system. They enter the bloodstream and are absorbed by cells without raising blood sugar levels.

Later, if cells need them, they convert these fatty acids and amino acids into glucose and burn them or turn them into fat and store them.

So, if you eat healthy foods rich in fats and proteins, your weight might go up because you're eating a lot!

But...

but since your insulin levels stay low, you don't feel as hungry, so you're less likely to overeat.



When you regularly consume sugary or simple carbohydrate foods like white bread, your insulin keeps going up.

" Exactly, cells say the same thing after a while and become resistant to insulin, leading to insulin resistance and type B diabetes.

So, if you keep eating sugary foods, sandwiches, ice cream, Coca-Cola, candy, gummies, sweet chocolates, Nutella, your risk of type B diabetes increases significantly, and cells become resistant, saying, "Forget it!" and blood sugar stays high.
