TEHRAN BEFORE NOWRUZ 1401 - IRAN 4K

Nowruz (new day) is the Persian-language term for the day of the Iranian New Year, also known as the Persian New Year. It begins on the spring equinox and marks the beginning of Farvardin, the first month of the Solar Hijri calendar (an Iranian calendar used officially in Iran and Afghanistan). The day is celebrated worldwide by various ethnolinguistic groups and falls on or around the date of 21 March on the Gregorian calendar.

The day of Nowruz has its origins in the Iranian religion of Zoroastrianism and is thus rooted in the traditions of the Iranian peoples; however, it has been celebrated by diverse communities for over 3,000 years in Western Asia, Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Black Sea Basin, the Balkans, and South Asia. Presently, while it is largely a secular holiday for most celebrants and enjoyed by people of several different faiths and backgrounds, Nowruz remains a holy day for Zoroastrians, Baháʼís, and some Muslim communities.

نوروز (روز نو) اصطلاح فارسی زبان برای روز سال نو ایرانی است که به آن سال نو فارسی نیز می‌گویند. از اعتدال بهاری آغاز می‌شود و آغاز فروردین، اولین ماه از تقویم هجری شمسی (یک تقویم ایرانی که به طور رسمی در ایران و افغانستان استفاده می‌شود) را نشان می‌دهد. این روز در سراسر جهان توسط گروه‌های قومی زبانی مختلف جشن گرفته می‌شود و در تاریخ ۲۱ مارس تقویم میلادی یا در حوالی آن قرار دارد.

روز نوروز ریشه در دین ایرانی زرتشتی دارد و از این رو ریشه در سنت های مردمان ایرانی دارد. با این حال، بیش از 3000 سال است که توسط جوامع مختلف در آسیای غربی، آسیای مرکزی، قفقاز، حوزه دریای سیاه، بالکان و آسیای جنوبی جشن گرفته شده است. در حال حاضر، در حالی که این جشن عمدتاً یک تعطیلات سکولار برای اکثر جشن‌داران است و افراد با چندین مذهب و پیشینه‌های مختلف از آن لذت می‌برند، نوروز همچنان یک روز مقدس برای زرتشتیان، بهائیان و برخی جوامع مسلمان است.
