Traditional bazaars in Iran have been around for thousands of years. Bazaar is not just a place for shopping but many important social and political events in Iran have their roots in traditional bazaars. Bazaar has its own rich and complex culture. In contrast modern shopping malls in Iran are relatively new phenomenon. They are not as culturally rich as bazaars but they are more accessible and they have items and displays that are somehow more attrctive in modern-day life.
