Imam Khomeini Street (former name: Sepah Street) (former name of Baghshah) is one of the central streets of Tehran. This is an east-west street and ends from the east to Imam Khomeini Square (artillery) and from the west to the Imam Memorial Highway. This street is named in honor of Seyyed Ruhollah Khomeini, the first leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In the Qajar period, this street was first called Marizkhaneh Street and then Bagh Shah Street, which in Reza Shah period was called Sepah Street.

At the beginning of 1304, the establishment of the first banking institution in the country was planned and the executors of this decree succeeded in forming a council of knowledgeable people and opened the first Iranian capital bank called Pahlavi Army Bank in several shops located in Sepah Street, Tehran.
