A great warrior went to war against a fierce enemy with only one-tenth of his army. He knew he could win the battle with a well-planned strategy, but his soldiers were skeptical.
On the way, the leader stopped at a shrine and said to his men, "After my visit to the shrine, I will flip a coin. If heads come, we win; if tails, we lose. Fate holds us in the palm of its hand."
He entered the shrine and said his prayers. Then he came out and flipped a coin in front of his men. Heads appeared. The soldiers were full of confidence and eager to win the battle.
After they won the battle one of his companions turned to him and said:
"No one can change the hand of destiny,"
"Indeed not," the warrior replied, showing the coin that had heads on both sides.
