One day Nasrudin was working on his roof fixing some leaks. He was interrupted by a stranger knocking on his door. Hearing the knock, Nasrudin shouted from the rooftop, “What do you want?”
The stranger replied: ”You have to come down so that I can tell you…”
Already frustrated by the work and heat Nasrudin came down angrily.
After getting down Nasrudin went to the stranger and questioned, “Now, tell me what’s so important??”
The stranger pointing to an old man, said, “Well, can you spare some food for this old man?”
Listening to this, Nasrudin turned back and started climbing upstairs and asked that the strange man follow him up to the roof.
When they both reached the roof Nasrudin turned to the stranger and said, “Well, No I can’t. Now get off my roof!”
