INGREDIENTS:

cake:

1 cup walnut
2 cups almond powder
1 1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
250 grams butter
1 1/2 sugar
1 tsp cardamom
1/2 rose water

syrup:

3 tbsp honey
1/2 cup rose water
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water

PREPARATION
1. Mix the butter and the sugar for 5 min in the mixer
2. Add 1 egg every 30 seconds
3. As it is mixing add in the cardamom and the rose water
4. Remove bowl from mixer and add in the almond powder and mix by hand. Repeat with walnut powder and flour (with the baking powder mixed in)
5. Pour the mixture into a utter coated cake pan and bake it for 30 - 35 mins on 180 Celsius.
6. Once the cake has been baked cut into it and leave it aside to cool.
7. Make the syrup by mixing all the ingredients (Rose water, water, honey and sugar) Let that boil for 3 mins.
8. As the syrup is still boiling and cake is cool pour the syrup over top.
9. Sprinkle pistachio powder over top and let that sit overnight so all the syrup gets soaked into the cake.
