INGREDIENTS:
1 Cup Oil
1 Cup yogurt
1/2 Cup Coriander
2 tbsp. gram flour
2 minced onions
2 diced onions
500g chicken
500g beef
1 Tbsp garlic
1 Tbsp ginger
Chili (optional)
1 Tsp black pepper
1 & 1/2 Tsp Coriander seed
1 Tsp paprika
1 Tsp Garam masala
Salt (1 & 1/2 tsp in meatballs) ( 1 tsp in Sauce)
HOW TO -
1. Mix together the; beef, chicken, minced onion, coriander, gram flour, 1/2 of the garlic and ginger, chili and half of all the spices. (1 & 1/2 tsp salt)
2. Create oval shapes for the 'meatballs' and use yogurt to prevent the mixture from sticking to your hands.
3. Once all the 'meatballs are created you can start cooking the sauce. Fry the onions in 1 cup oil, and then take them out of the pot leaving behind the oil.
4. Add in the ginger and garlic frying them for 1 min and then adding in the remaining spices and 1/2 cup water. Carefully place in the meatballs and leave that to cook for 5 mins with no lid on low heat. After with the lid for another 5 mins.
5. Once 5 mins have gone by add in the yogurt and place on the lid and cook for 10 mins on medium heat.
6. While that is cooking take the previously fried onions and mix them in a lender with 1 cup water.
7. After the 10 mins add the onion mixture in making sure to get all the flavor and add in the Salt (1 TSP). Shake the pan and place on the lid for it to cook for another 10 mins.
8. While that is cooking away take a piece of coal and heat it up on the stove and create a little owl out of foil.
9. When the 10 mins are up take off the lid and add in extra coriander and chili if you desire to! Place the coal in the foil bowl and put that in the pan with the meatballs, put a tiny bit of oil on the coal for it to smoke and put on the lid of the pot to trap it and leave for 5 mins.
10. Once the 5 mins are up remove the foil and coal and it is ready to be eaten!
